Your Pavilion Pharmacy in Brixton has had a very special VIP visitor. Sir Simon Stevens has visited ours and yours pharmacy  in June 2020. If you were wondering who Sir Simon Stevens was, he is the CEO of our beloved NHS. What an honor for our pharmacy.  What was the reason of his visit you ask?  Sir Simon Stevens and our superintendent pharmacist Martin Uhelak discussed how Pavilion Pharmacy not only did not reduce its service, but doubled down on its service and went above and beyond in supporting its community during the Covid 19 pandemic. Pavilion Pharmacy team engaged with its local volunteers and organized  free prescription deliveries to the most vulnerable and shielding patients. Mr. Uhelak complimented local volunteers who helped tremendously during the pandemic lockdown. In addition, Pavilion Pharmacy was one of few pharmacies providing emergency dental prescriptions for  Greater London thanks to its close working relationship with Pavilion Dental Centre and has seen patients coming as far as from Luton or Croydon to have their antibiotics dispensed.  On a bigger scale, Sir Simon Stevens was also interested to see how NHS 111 and it`s Community Pharmacy Consultation Service (CPCS)  helped many patients to access professional pharmacist advice or emergency medicine supply since it was rolled out in October 2019.  You can learn more about the visit on the NHS  or Pharmacy Business Magazine website
